Tea Bag Travel Carrier Sewing Project Reveal – Tea for Two Swap
My latest completed sewing project is an adorable tea bag travel carrier. It would be great to throw in your purse as a pouch for up to 4 tea bags. I’m a member of a Facebook quilting group called the Quilt Cave and we did this project as a swap. This is the tea bag holder that I’ll be sending to my partner – I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it!
This project comes together quickly and is a great stash-buster. I used a variety of green and blue fabrics. I’ve had a stash of these kimono buttons for a long time, so I used them as an additional embellishment. It makes the tea bag holder feel like a tea ceremony. A polka dot button for the elastic closure ties all the fabrics together.
I decided to use the fancy stitches on my Husquavarna 1070, stitching along the ditch in white thread. I think it adds a little something.
The Tea Time Travels pattern is available free at Kindred Quilters. It’s in PDF format and very easy to follow along.
Now that this tea bag sewing project is out of the way, I’m going to turn on the kettle and enjoy a cuppa. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
